Onboarding is an employee's onboarding track on the platform.

An onboarding track is a step-by-step plan for bringing a new employee up to speed in their role. It can include training courses and meetings with a mentor.

Courses help the employee study the required materials, complete assignments, and take quizzes. Mentor meetings give them support, a place to ask questions, and feedback along the way.

In this way, an onboarding track combines training and guidance, helping the employee settle into their new role and get to work faster.

When working with onboarding tracks on the platform, you'll come across two key concepts:

  • Mentor – an experienced employee who guides a newcomer through onboarding. They hold meetings, answer questions, track progress, and help the new hire settle into the team.
  • Mentee – an employee who has been assigned an onboarding track and a mentor. During onboarding, the mentee studies the materials, completes assignments, and attends mentor meetings.

To open the «Onboarding» section, select it in the platform's sidebar menu.

In this section you can:

  • create onboarding tracks;
  • manage onboarding tracks;
  • manage mentors;
  • view mentees;
  • search the tracks you've created.
